Pandora jewelry is a key trend for 2022 – InStyle | Directory Mayhem

Growing up in the 2000s meant a few things: Britney Spears was gospel and Spice World: The Movie was the highest form of cinema. Everything was easier then. Not owning a Velor Juicy Couture tracksuit felt like the end of the world, and all of my friends’ top concerns were things like who to put in their Myspace top 8 or what Pandora charm to buy next.

It’s no secret that millennial teenage style is unironically back in full force, or that everyone is particularly longing for the pre-pandemic days. But as someone who immediately donated all of their Diesel lace-up boots, iridescent Bebe tops and beloved Juicy Couture bags when they went “uncool,” I’m shocked it’s all coming back. And while I’m very sorry right now (and still can’t believe anyone out there who isn’t me now owns my massive Juicy Couture bag collection), I’m at least grateful that I saved my Pandora charm bracelet .

I’m emotional and nostalgic and extremely sentimental (I’m a Pisces, of course). Every piece of jewelry that has a charm feels like a piece of me at some point in time. It’s like a tiny little frozen memory, something that I felt represented me, and I associate so many memories with each one. My early 2000’s Pandora bracelet has sat on my dresser for years and every time I look at it brings back memories of my sweet 16th birthday The super cute 16 era) flow back to me.

The brand is gearing up for a major comeback with the launch of Pandora ME, a collection of customizable, on-trend jewelry priced starting at $22, and I’m sporting my OG charm for the first time in years. Bracelet. Charli XCX and Addison Rae have teamed up with Pandora for a Pandora ME launch campaign, and Olivia Rodrigo even wore layers of Pandora ME jewelry on the Grammys red carpet recently. The jewelry was also all over Coachella this past weekend, a telltale sign that Pandora is not only making a comeback but is cool enough to be worn to the festival with such a storied reputation that it’s making headlines around the world .

Pandora took over a home just outside the festival site aptly named The Pandora Oasis, and Charli XCX did indeed perform for stylish festival-goers adorned with customizable Pandora ME bracelets and necklaces. When I saw her sitting in one of the Oasis’ pink Pandora rooms before the performance, I complimented her on her insane Pandora stacking ability, and she immediately pointed out her favorite piece: the Pandora ME link chain.

She told me, “I love layers and I think that’s the cool thing about the collection. Her favorite charm is the smiley face charm and she thinks the Pandora ME double link with Pave makes a great addition to any link chain. Charli’s necklaces, of which she wore several, were actually adorned with some of the green color’s style touches.

One thing that hasn’t changed since the 2000s, other than Pandora’s influence, is clearly the outstanding style of pop stars, which I’ve treated like the Bible for as long as I can remember. Basically, when Charli XCX, one of pop’s biggest stars with a new chart-topping album and incredible personal style, says I need a Pandora ME link necklace with tons of style accents, I add it to my cart asap added. And all I know is that 16-year-old Tara would love it too.
