Ah, it’s finally here – October, arguably the best month. Or at least it is most adorable Month. Fresh, cool air creeps in slowly. Halloween decorations line shelves and shop windows wherever you turn. And snuggling up on the couch with your kids for some leisurely binge-watching with the family just feels right most days. Catch all the new children’s movies and shows on Netflix coming in October.

And it’s not just new shows for preschoolers or animated films for middle schoolers – there’s something for all ages this month. From foodie fun like a Halloween season of Made! to educational cartoons like spirit ranger and scary family movies like The Curse of Bridge Holloweveryone in your house will feel like they have something new to add to their queue.

Inspired by stories passed down by Native American tribes, this series explores the beauty of nature and indigenous culture through friends Kodi, Summer and Eddy Skycedar, and the Chumash/Cowlitz siblings. Known as “Spirit Rangers,” they help protect the lands, spirits, and creatures of the national park they call home.

the crazy boy season 1 – 12 Oct

Netflix’s first Brazilian animated series, The crazy boy is based on the classic children’s book of the same name by the Brazilian author Ziraldo. It follows the crazy machinations of 10-year-old Maluquinho (aka Nutty) and his friends and how they transform the world around them through their imaginations.

The Curse of Bridge Hollow — October 14

If it has Marlon Wayans, you know it’s going to be fun! A great watch for tween and teenage families, this light-hearted film sees Wayans as a father who teams up with his teenage daughter to save their town from an old, mischievous ghost.

Waffles + Mochis Restaurant – 17 Oct

Listen, I won’t lie – we’re not afraid of it. waffles + mochi Season 1 couldn’t have been cuter if she tried. Not to mention education! It had travel, food from different cultures… what more could you ask for? Well, how about if Waffles and Mochi got their own restaurant? Michelle Obama is back, plus a host of world famous chefs and celebs from around the world.

The School of Good and Evil — 19 Oct

Best friends Sophie and Agatha find themselves in quite the riddle when they end up in an enchanted school where young heroes and villains are trained to keep the balance of good and evil in the universe. The problem? In the end, they are played off against each other. It doesn’t hurt that this modern day fairytale stars the likes of Rachel Bloom, Charlize Theron, Cate Blanchett (voice), Kerry Washington, Ben Kingsley, Laurence Fishburne, Michelle Yeoh and more.

Oni: The Tale of the Thunder Gods – October 21

The setting: a world full of whimsical Japanese mythological gods and monsters. Our hero: Onari, the free-spirited daughter of such a creature. Wendel & Wild – 28 Oct

Do you have a tween or teen obsessed with coral? This is bound to be her favorite new release of the month – it’s Henry Selick’s first feature film since the 2009 cult classic, and it’s adapted from a screenplay by Selick and Jordan Peele. In the stop-motion horror comedy, two scheming demon brothers named Wendell (voiced by Keegan-Michael Key) and Wild (voiced by Peele) enlist a tough teenager named Kat Elliot (voiced by Lyric Ross) to summon them to the land of the living. And as you can imagine, things aren’t exactly going to plan.
