If you’re just getting started with the Disney Dreamlight Valley life simulation experience, you may be overwhelmed by the multitude of activities and tasks to complete right from the start. And if you’re wondering what to do first, or just want some guidance on your beginner’s journey, then this guide is for you.
Below we have brought you a comprehensive guide with the most important tips you need to know when starting in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Guide you as a beginner through the game and help youshine as you journey through Dreamlight Valley.
The best Disney Dreamlight Valley beginner tips
Once you press start and enter Dreamlight Valley, there is plenty for you to do. From fishing with Goofy to cooking and improving your home. But as you progress through the game, there are a few things you need to keep in mind that will help you make things a lot easier.
To that end, below are the top five things you need to know about when getting started with Disney Dreamlight Valley.
1. Inventory Management
Like any other life simulation game, managing your inventory in Disney Dreamlight Valley is crucial to make your life easier and become a more efficient player. The best way to manage your items and inventory is by using chests.
These can be created first if you go to the workbench near Goofy’s house. They are relatively inexpensive to craft, requiring only 25 Softwood and 25 Stone to create a single chest. And once you have as many chests as you need, you can use them to organize your items into different chests and have easy access to them without having to rummage through a cluttered inventory.
2. Character Levels and Bonuses
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, the various characters are capable of much more than just being loveable and giving you quests. Each character you befriend can be given a specific skill, such as gardening or fishing, and as you accompany them in completing these tasks, their level of the given skill will increase.
If your friend helps you with these tasks, you will get more bonuses the higher his skill level in this area. For example, increasing Walle’s gardening skill level will give you more bonus items when harvesting fruits and vegetables in your garden.
3. Adjusting the world around you
Disney Dreamlight Valley gives you the power to customize pretty much everything around you. If you are in the inventory menu and select the “Furniture” button outside, you can click on the button you assigned to close the menu and start picking up and rearranging all the items in the world around you, from Flower beds, lights, fences and even entire houses.
You can also pick up world items and put them in your inventory to put them somewhere else later (except for large items like houses). This gives you the freedom to change the look and layout of almost every area in Dreamlight Valley and to place things more efficiently, e.g. B. to move all your gardens into one area or just make the place look like your own.
4. Upgrade Tools
As you venture through Dreamlight Valley, you’ll encounter objects like tree stumps and hard corals on the beaches that you can’t remove. That’s because they need to upgrade your tools, the shovel for hard stumps and the pickaxe for the hardy coral on the beach.
In order to improve these tools (and others in your arsenal) you must unlock the different areas around Dreamlight Valley and complete the tasks for the different characters there. The shovel upgrade is obtained when unlocking the Forest of Valor and completing the area’s main questline.
To unlock the Pickaxe upgrade you need to unlock Maui and Moana and also complete their main quests. Once you have the updated tools, you can search these objects and get tons of new and valuable resources, so make upgrading your tools a priority.
5. Sell items and build wealth
The last tip we have is to unlock all of Goofy’s stalls as soon as possible to sell him all the items that you have in abundance throughout the game. Selling your items to Goofy not only frees up these limited slots, but he also pays you with Star Coins, the in-game money used to build better structures and buy more useful and purely decorative items.
Make sure you strike a balance between selling everything and holding back some supplies in case you run into trouble in the future. A quick-selling tip is to sell items that replenish quickly, like rocks, apples, and raspberries, when you’re short on cash. Don’t be too hasty in discarding them, as rarer ingredients and items like Hardwood and Iron Ore aren’t as easy to find.
Gems are among the best-selling items because they fetch the highest price, but they can also be given to friends and used in some quests. And with that, we conclude our top 5 tips you need to know as a Disney Dreamlight Valley beginner.
