Out of season there is lots of great shopping in the East End!
To outsiders, the East End might be thought dead after Labor Day, but locals know that fall and winter offer a quiet respite from the madness of the summer season. There are still plenty of shops open in the off-season, so many that we’ve had to narrow this list down to 11 of our favourites.

Located in a Victorian house in Sag Harbor Village, concept store Matriark features an eclectic collection of fashion, accessories and decorative objects created by women and queer designers and brands.
And with every purchase, $5 is donated to i-tri, a program that serves East End girls who need a self-esteem and self-efficacy boost in their formative years in middle school.

Montauk apparel company
Marketed as “the friendly store,” the friendly staff at Montauk Clothing Company sells t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and athletic wear that emphasize the good life at the end of the South Fork.
The holiday shopping experience may peak in the summer, but with the annual Turkey Trot, Montauk Lighthouse lighting, and other holiday events, Montauk Clothing Co. has something to offer winter visitors to the village, too.

Stevenson’s Toys & Games
When Southampton parents need a new toy for their children or a new collectible for themselves, they go to Stevenson’s Toys & Games. From puzzles and educational toys to stuffed animals and dolls, Stevenson’s collection is extensive and unique.
As a testament to their high status in the region, they are the only toy store capable of selling Monopoly: Hamptons Edition, which also features prominently on the game board.
